Discover what Columbus didn't discover

On 12th October 1492, after a voyage that had lasted many months, Columbus discovered America. On Monday 12th October 2009, you will have the chance of discovering what Columbus didn’t discover, taking advantage of the open doors day offered by the Barbier-Mueller Pre-Columbian Art Museum of Barcelona.

You will be able to see more than 80 pieces of Pre-Columbian Art of extraordinary quality that form part of the collection of the museum and that are currently on show within the exhibition Masterpieces of Pre-Columbian Art.

You will be able to enjoy the intimate atmosphere that the museum’s rooms offer, ideal for contemplating the Pre-Columbian works of art without distractions, discovering every curved line and all the details that those artists included in each piece as a reflection of their cultures.
