The latest about Portraits
What is behind a portrait and what is real? Who interprets? Does the meaning or a portrait go beyond that of its literal presentation?.
An occasion to think about the work of art as a factor that creates space. The syntactic relationship masterpiece favours this proposal. The space established by the work of art is defined by what it transmits to us, by that which makes us know about the sense o f the being and of the evidence of the world. Being, world, presentation and representation are the element in play in this dialogue to be constructed during the seminar.
The seminar is defined as a practice for the creation of instruments of analysis of artistic text and is planned as a space for discussion and debate about the relations, between art, memory and thought, taking as a reference the experience of the artists and works that form part of the current exhibition of the Barbier-Mueller Museum of Pre-Columbian Art of Barcelona, so as to articulate contents, discourse and aesthetic language. This modality of work will allow us to modify the course of the programme according to the intellectual and professional interests of the participants.
