The Night of the Museums

Once again the museums of Barcelona will extend their opening times to open their doors until one o’clock in the morning, in celebration of the Night of the Museums. The common theme of this edition is music, and the Barbier-Mueller Pre-Columbian Art Museum of Barcelona will do so with two shoes. .

7.00-8.00pm. Choir of the Capella Francesa de Barcelona. Interpreting well known pieces from different parts of Mexico with the accompaniment of guitars:

11pm to midnight. Project Represents Corisco, Ricardo Cançado ( VJ Eletro-I-Man, Brasil). Sound and visual show. Eletro-I-Man aims to rethink video base on its joining with other techniques, composing a hybrid language.

The Project Represents Corisco was born in 2003 and during these years proposals have been developed which have included everything from videos performances to urban installations in cities such as Belo Horizonte, São Paulo and Barcelona. With the aim of proposing critical reflections about the political and social relations in the major metropolis, the collective works with concepts related to popular Brazilian culture and visual icons which lead us to the universe of the cangaço, the armed movement from the north-east of Brazil, and one of its characters: Corisco.
